Huernia hystrix (Stapeliad succulent Desert flower) as found in its natural habitat in South Africa. I didn’t want to mess with nature, and photographed the flower just as I found it. Believe it or not, but this spectacular little flower was very easy to overlook completely (due its size and the height of the vegetation around it).
